Established in November 2015, Mothers from around the DMV and across the country reach out to our organization for support, comfort, or as a resource as they transition to a new normal way of life. We vow to stand in solidarity with them in their journey for justice including through the various phases of grief, legal, and legislative processes.
Mission:
We are a grassroot organization in the DMV with the mission to create collaborative partnerships with families who have been affected by community violence and police brutality/terror while identifying and supporting legislative and community-initiated change and working for a world in which all children are safe and families are whole.
Vision:
Our vision is to be a catalyst to enact change to address the root causes of community and state-sanctioned violence in all forms that plague our communities, working both locally and nationally in partnership with families that have been negatively affected, concerned citizens, law enforcement agents, legislators, policymakers, allied organizations, and advocates for social justice and human rights.
